Southwick Zoo Field Trip
Led by Art Yost
Join CAP for a fieldtrip to the Southwick Zoo in Massachusetts on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008. The group will leave from the commuter parking lot at exit 13 on I-91 at 8 a.m. If there is a need we will make a second stop in Vernon, CT, at exit 67 off I-84 east (contact Art if you want the second stop). Zoo admission is $18.75 for adults with a $2.00 discount for AAA members and $12.75 for seniors (62+). Picnic lunches are permitted in the park. The zoo is open from 10 to 5.
New at the zoo: two white tiger cubs (Taj and Kya), a baby Patagonian cavy born June 20th, a sky ride that should be operating when we go, and a new exhibit area for the snow leopard.If you plan to participate contact Art Yost at arty43 @ comcast.net with “CAP Zoo Trip” as the subject or call (203) 931-9943.

Fall Waterfall Field Trip
Led by Jim Santerre & Pat Brundage
Join CAP for a fall waterfall field trip on Saturday, October 11, 2008. The group will meet at the commuter lot across from and south of Sikorsky (Exit 53 off Route 15) at 6:30 am. Alternatively you can meet the group at a Dunkin Donuts on route 7 in New Milford or at Kent Falls. There are several waterfalls on the agenda as well as red barns, lone trees, and streams. Lighthouse Field Trip
Led by Howard Siegel
During the weekend of October 18th and 19th, 2008, members of CAP will participage in the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge. This event is sponsored by the New Jersey Lighthouse Society to raise public awareness of lighthouses, particularly New Jersey's. You will have an opportunity to photograph and visit a number of lighthouses along the New Jersey shore. Seminar
Plan now to attend an all-day seminar on Saturday, November 15, 2008, featuring Adam Jones and Onne van der Wal. The seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn in North Haven, CT and is presented by the Connecticut Association of Photographers and Canon. Both of these excellent photographers and speakers presented at the NECCC Conference this past summer. The programs at this seminar will be different and varied from what they presented at Amherst. Both speakers had packed houses and received standing ovations for their work. Don’t miss this informative and entertaining day!

o Non-members: $33 pre-registered; $38 at the door.
